The Problem
Destination Madison is a company dedicated to promoting tourist events to build Madison’s economy and community. They have their own program called “Madison on Tap” to encourage their target audience to discover bars and breweries. There is a limited reach, however, to the younger generation who heavily rely on their mobile devices to discover their next bar adventure.
The Solution
Design a mobile app that allows users to:
- Browse Madison bars and their atmosphere
- See what bar events are going on
- Curate their bar experience

Through the design thinking process, we have developed a dynamic mobile application for Destination Madison that caters to the unique lifestyles and preferences of its users. By incorporating features such as real-time capacity tracking, bar reviews, search filtering, and event highlights, the app enhances planning and coordination for nights out in Madison. Our process involved in-depth user research, iterative prototyping, and feedback-driven refinements, ensuring that the app aligns with the needs and expectations of its audience. The result is a tailored solution that not only simplifies decision-making for users but also strengthens Destination Madison’s role as a hub for the city’s vibrant social scene.
